Chris Muegge and his uncle Dana Caldwell chose a Patz 2400 Series II Vertical Mixer for their 1000-head beef operation, CGS Services, located in Morristown, Indiana. Chris and Dana were in need of a mixer than could handle very wet rations, as they incorporate fruit and vegetable by-products from a local food processing plant into their hay and silage rations.
One feature that was extremely important to CGS Services was the Patz 2400 Series II Vertical Mixer’s two-speed gearbox, which provides the ability to shift between low gear for mixing rations and high gear for superior cleanout, even when feeding very wet rations.
Their 950 cubic foot mixer has processed nearly 4,000 loads since purchased in September 2012, and it’s still going strong!
