The smallest model of the Patz Vertical Mixer family has found a home at the Davis College of Agriculture, Forestry and Consumer Sciences at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV.
Bill Jones, Farm Operator, was looking for a feed mixer that is versatile enough to handle rations for 60 dairy cows, approximately 40 to 50 beef cows, and 250 to 400 sheep. After doing some research on the Patz Model 400 Stationary Vertical Mixer, University staff agreed it was a good fit for their operation because of its ability to mix a wide variety of feedstuffs. They also like the compact size and the option of having doors on both sides of the mixer.
“We like the convenience of the second door for taking samples or taking out small batches to feed at other locations,” says Bill.
