Hurricane Sandy has wreaked havoc on parts of the United States, Caribbean, and Canada with torrential rain, heavy snowfall, and dangerous winds. Besides leaving millions without power and many without homes, the superstorm has taken the lives of over 100 people worldwide.
Relief groups have already begun working to help those affected by the storm. However, food, medical supplies, emergency kits, and field volunteers are still needed. Blood supplies are also running low at the Red Cross and New York Blood Center due to blood drive cancellations.
You Can Help! Here are just some of the organizations that CNN.com listed as seeking volunteers or donations to aid the victims of Hurricane Sandy:
American Red Cross
Salvation Army
Save the Children
World Vision
Feeding America
Samaritan's Purse
Team Rubicon
Catholic Charities USA
Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this devastating storm.
