Breakdown results in better profits!

Haberli Farms is a 270 cow dairy operation in Egg Harbor, WI. In spring 2007, the truck carrying the Haberli’s “brand x” reel mixer broke down. Their local Patz Dealer provided them with a loaner mixer – a 620 cubic foot Patz Model 800 Twin Screw Vertical Mixer – to use while their mixer truck was being repaired.

Milk production immediately jumped 5-6 pounds per cow per day. After five days, the Haberlis repaired mixer was returned to their farm and they noticed that milk production dropped back down to previous levels once they started using it again. They tried another Patz Vertical Mixer and again, production climbed 5-6 pounds.

Haberli Farms invested in a 420 cubic foot Patz Model 1100 Truck Mount Vertical Mixer and their milk production climbed to 93-94 pounds per cow per day during the summer of 2008 – a total increase of 12-14 pounds per cow per day!

In addition to the outstanding increase in milk production, the Haberlis enjoy superior cleanout and the ability to mix batches as small as 500 pounds!
