Until March of 2007, Scott Riechers had been feeding his 250-300 beef cattle with a feed wagon. He consulted with his local Patz Dealer, Steinhart Farm Service, Inc., in Platteville, WI, for suggestions on how to update his feeding operation.
They explained the differences between the various brands and types of vertical mixers to Scott, allowing him to make an educated decision about his choice of mixer.
Scott chose a 420 cu. ft. Patz Model 1100 Vertical Mixer because of its low height and ability to quickly mix a totally blended ration. Since purchasing the Patz Vertical Mixer, he has experienced better efficiency and decreased feed costs. Scott has even noticed a difference in the physical health of his herd.
"My cattle are two months ahead of last year, and I have only had my Patz mixer for seven months!" he stated.
