A large herd specialist made that comment upon seeing the total mixed ration produced by Conrad Liebergen’s Patz Model 2400 Twin Screw Vertical Mixer.
Conrad and Lisa Liebergen own and operate Brightside Dairy LLC in Greenleaf, WI where they currently milk 380 cows. Since buying the 950 cu. ft. Patz Mixer, Conrad has reported a considerable return on their investment.
“Production increased 4+ pounds of milk per day during the time of year when just maintaining production is a challenge,” he stated. Their herd average is currently 26,500 pounds milk production with 3.7 butterfat and 3.0 protein.
