Bob Hatfield of Burrod Farm in Lansing, NY, milks 45 registered Holstein cows.
Bob (shown here with grandson Clayton and Patz Dealer Doug Benson) recently traded in his old tumble mixer for a 200 cu. ft. Patz Model 400 Stationary Vertical Mixer and has experienced great results!
"Butterfat has increased and milk production is increasing steadily since installing the Patz mixer," states Bob. "It does a better mix than my old mixer and I can add hay to my ration now."
He has also noticed that he is saving on grain because his cows are unable to sort out the totally mixed ration. Bob says he can easily measure his production and lower feed costs by monitoring how much money is left over in his checkbook each month.
